Konklusion

hereUK summary
We have reached the end of the road, and it is time for the final judgement, and I must say that there are both things for and against buying this headset. A big plus of the SkullCrushers is the massive bass, as it really does make a huge difference in music with a lot of bass. There is however a lot of music where the extra bass is pretty much useless and best left turned off. Another good thing about the SkullCrushers is the fact that you can fold it up so that it takes up much less space. Since it seems a bit fragile I am a little worried about the its durability. On the downside is allso the fact that the sound shows some inadequacies witch makes the overall sound image a bit unfinished.
I won't characterise a set of SkullCrushers as a bad purchase, but one has to consider if this really is the right one for the purposes that you are going to use it for. If you are going to use it for techno and club-music only while riding the bus, then you cannot buy it fast enough, but if you are going to use it for other things as well, it might me a good idea to consider the alternatives.
Innovation/Technology - 4
That you can fold the headset up is a great feature, and most welcome if you use it when you are on the move. The extra bass unit is very good idea and it really add something extra when listening to club music. The number of different designs could be considered some kind of innovation and all in all we reach a four on the grading scale.
Bundle/Accessories - 4
A bag, adaptors and some trifles takes us high, but I don't think there is anything that can take us all the way to the top. That is the reason why SkullCrushers has to settle with a bit less than the top grade.
Design/Layout - 3
The SkullCrushers are available in numerous colours and designs so most people should be able to find one that they like. But I must say that I find the tested one a bit boring. It is a nice thing that you can fold the headset up so it takes up less space, because it is undeniable that it makes it easier to fit it into your bag. The headset does seem a bit fragile and it doesn't seem to be intended to be taken in and out of a bag all the time. If you don't wear the headset for too long, it is quite pleasant to wear, but once in a while your ears will need a brake.
Performance - 3
The bass is very high class, but a lot of bass alone is not enough to reach a top grade. This is due to the fact that the extra bass in many cases is pretty much useless, and because of a somewhat weak middle and a lack of depth in the guitars. I can only just justify a three, which is a bit more than average.
Price - 3
I haven't been able to find a Danish price of the particular design, but in other colours a set of SkullCrushers cost about 500 DKK excluding postage. The headset is quite comfortable and the bass is very fierce, but due to the fragile design and mediocre overall performance, a three is as high as we get.
